The Commonwealth Games

From October 3rd to 14th, the Commonwealth Games will be held in New Delhi, India. These games, which are a smaller version of the Olympics, bring together the Commonweath of Nations, which is an association of countries made up of the United Kingdom and fifty-three of its former colonies, including Australia, Belize, Canada, Jamaica, Nigeria and New Zealand. This event brings together a culturally diverse group of athletes from every continent, which represent 30% of the world's population, in an effort to encourage good relations among the member states.
