Haiku

yawn·ing*  earth  stretch·es*
hung·ry  waves  de·vou·r  land
sun  will  rise  a·gain

This is my example of a traditional Japanese poem, called a haiku, which consists of three verses, with five, seven and five syllables each one, respectivelyy. Haikus reflect the spirituality of nature or daily life in a minimalist way. I dedicate the one above to Japan, and the one below to the Arab world.

de·sert  winds  shift*  dunes
peace·ful  rain  drops*  on  cracked*  ground
o·a·sis  re·born

* yawning = bostezando, stretches = estira, drops = cae, shift = cambia, cracked = agrietado

Wow!! Your words are so warm that I sent them to Tatsuo. He said: "thank you so much!!!"
