A boob tube is another name for a television set, also known as an idiot box, because people become fools, or boobs, by watching it. And because boob and tube rhyme, they sound good together!

As you can see, I used many in the first question and much in the second one. That’s because in the first question, television is used as a plural, countable noun, while in the second, it’s used as an uncountable noun to talk about time. Even though we don’t mention time, it’s assumed.
She's got two televisions.
