Give it Time

Time is an eternal problem! Do you spend time wisely? There are many ways of dealing with [1] time. First of all, when we spend time, it means that we keep doing the same thing or keep staying in the same place for a period of time. Like spending the whole morning cleaning the house, or spending an entire vacation in the Bahamas!

Don’t confuse spending time with passing time, which means keeping oneself busy while waiting. Like passing the time folding the clothes while waiting for a friend to arrive. Similar to passing time is having time to kill, or killing time, which means that you have spare time. Like when you spend your money in the duty-free shops because you had to kill time before boarding the plane.

Of course, doing things can take time, meaning it can take a while for them to be completed. For example, it takes time to learn a language. If you spend the time required to do something, then you take the time. For example, it’s a nice gesture[2] to take the time to learn what other’s interests are. However, they are people who are not in a hurry to finish what they are doing, they take their time., like when you take your time to answer a question because you don’t know what to say. If you’re going to take your time to do something, it’s  important not to use your time unwisely, or lose time, in other words, waste time. Imagine not being invited to a party after wasting your time looking for a gift.

If we’re lucky, we have time on our side, meaning we have plenty of time. The important sometimes But time after time, or time and again, in other words, very often, we take time for granted [3] and we let it slip by [4], and we end up [5] pressed for time, we don’t have enough time to complete something, so we are in a hurry. And more often than not, we end up running out of time. And in the end, we have to make up for lost time, or spend more time later to accomplish what we couldn’t finish earlier! I know things can seem overbearing [6] at times [7]. But don’t worry! Things will change for the better, just be patient. Give it time!
